The head of the Green Bay police department wants people to feel safe going to the polls on Election Day.
Chief Andrew Smith says he will have officers at all the polls and officers in plain clothes driving through parking lots to make sure everything is okay. He says they have plans in place just in case something goes wrong.
Smith says the department’s emergency operations center will be monitoring situations, not only throughout the city, but also the country. He says they want to be aware of trends happening anywhere else.
