The number of homeless people staying outside is up in the Fox Cities.
Betsy Borns of Project RUSH says they looked around the area, several days ago, and found 32 people. She says they were sleeping in parks, under bridges, and inside cars.
Last year, there were 30. The total was 27 in 2017.
Borns says it’s disheartening to see the increases.
When Pillars combines the number of people staying in shelters, and outside, the homeless population in the Fox Cities is over 300.
