Neighbors are being credited for helping two families get out of a burning home.
The Red Cross is assisting the six people displaced after a house fire yesterday afternoon in Green Bay. Crews were called to the 900 block of South Greenwood Avenue just before 4 p.m. and found smoke and flames coming from a front porch. Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to the second floor.
Damage is estimated at $50,000. The cause is still under investigation but officials believe the fire started on the porch. No one was hurt.
