This October, Pretty Woman: The Musical will be coming to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. The musical is based on one of Hollywood’s most beloved romantic stories of all time, and will have 8 shows from October 24-29 during its time in the Fox Cities. Those who have already seen the show have expressed their love for the Broadway version of the story.
The creative team who brought the story to life is led by two-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell. The musical also features an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance, who sing well-known songs, “Summer of ‘69” and “Heaven.”
According to the Pretty Woman: The Musical’s website, Mitchell has been involved with more than 50 Broadway, West End and touring productions, including choreographing You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; The Full Monty; The Rocky Horror Show; Hairspray; Gypsy; Never Gonna Dance; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels; La Cage aux Folles; and Legally Blonde, which he also directed on Broadway.
Pretty Woman is the first musical Adams has written, alongside Vallance. Over the years, his music has hit number one status in over forty countries. He also has three Academy Awards, five Golden Globe nominations, and has recorded 14 studio albums, the latest being Shine A Light which was released in 2019.
