People in northern Wisconsin are trying to clean up after a storm dropped heavy rain in the region.
Andrew Beckett is a spokesman for Wisconsin Emergency Management. He says part of the area saw up to ten inches of rain fall in a short period of time on Saturday. He says two people died as a result of the damage, as well as two dam failures and bridges and roads being washed out. Beckett says the people died because of a tree falling on a camper, and a car going into the ditch.
He says they’re waiting for the water to recede so they can access damage. He says several roads are still closed, and he’s warning people not to drive around barricades.
