Homeowners filled the Oconto High School auditorium last night hoping to learn how to keep the rising water in the bay out of their homes.
The Army Corps of Engineers gave neighbors a look at water levels across the Great Lakes.
They say the water level on Lake Michigan is up 17 inches compared to this time last year.
Oconto County Emergency Management Director Tim Magnin says he’s worried about spring and water levels going up even more.
Emergency Management and the DNR shared information about the proper permits needed to protect property and how they’re working to keep neighbors safe in case of an emergency.
