My Tom & Jerry experience!
Saw Phil Cianciola's blog mention of his very first Tom & Jerry I remember mine, but I was quite young!
My Dad was hosting a holiday party at the house, dozens of people, most I didn' t know! So, there's Dad making these goofy drinks with this frothy gunk at the top of the glass. I noticed he was also adding some booze to the glass, so I knew that wasn't going to be offered my way! Dad makes me what essentially was hot cocoa with the frothy gunk, now known as Tom & Jerry batter. Hey, not bad! As I grew a bit older, Mom snuck me one with just a hint of Creme De Cacao in it, and I was hooked!
Now, we enjoy a Tom & Jerry or two during the holiday season, often to pay tribute to loved ones we have lost through the years. Plus, they taste so good!
