I've talked about this many times before and will do so again now just to clarify. I am not a Bucks fan. I am not a Brewers fan. Not by definition anyway.
I've always felt that the word fan is short for fanatic. Am I fanatic about the Brewers or Bucks? No. Does that make me some sort of evil person who doesn't like our home state teams? No. I like them just fine, but I jump on the bandwagon only then things get interesting toward playoff time in whatever sport is involved.
Such is the case with the Milwaukee Bucks. I actually watched the end of the game with the Knicks last night at the BC. Playoff implications were huge and I want my home state team to beat out a team from New York as much as the next guy. It wasn't to be of course.
Today I'll be hoping for a Brewers' sweep of the Cubs simply because it's us versus them. 'Nuff said.
I guess the only state team I am really 'fanatic' about is the Packers. For me that means watching, listening, reading all about 'my' team all season long, not just when things are looking good near playoff time.
Late start again today for the PhilCast....4:30-ish after the Brewers sweep the Cubs on WHBY!
