Brewers Brake Out Bats at Bush

Milwaukee tagged St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright (13-6) for seven runs on their way to a 7-4 victory Friday night at Bush Stadium.  It was the heart of the Brewers (61-49) lineup that did the damage on Friday as Lucroy, Braun and Ramirez combined for all seven RBI.  The Crew started the scoring the in second inning on an Aramis Ramirez solo home run.  Ramirez followed his long ball with an RBI double in the third to give Milwaukee a 2-0 lead.  Jonathan Lucroy broke the game open in the sixth  with a bases clearing 3-RBI double to push the Milwaukee lead to 6-0.  Braun then capped off the four-run sixth inning with a RBI double to make it 7-0 Brewers.  The Cardinals (57-51) added runs in the sixth and seventh innings to cut the lead to 7-2.  Then in the bottom of the ninth St. Louis pushed across two runs off Brewers reliever Zach Duke trimming the Milwaukee lead to 7-4.  Fransico Rodriquez then came on to record the final out to notch his 32nd save of the year as the Brewers pushed their lead in the NL Central to three games over the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Brewers starter Wily Peralta (13-6) went six and two thirds innings giving up two runs on five hits while walking four and striking out three.  Game two of the three game series between the Cards and Crew gets underway with the first pitch scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
