Brewers pound Padres

Milwaukee cranked out sixteen his on their way to a 10-1 win over the San Diego Padres Monday night at Petco Park.  Aramis Ramirez went three for five with a homerun and three RBI.  Ryan Braun also went yard for the Crew as he finished the night three for four at the dish.  Braun was pinch-hit for in the seventh inning as the team reported he suffered a bruised left quad diving for a ball earlier in the game.

Brewers starter Kyle Lohse (W, 12-7) who hadn't pitched in twelve days since tweaking his ankle in a start against the Cubs, rebounded to pick up his twelfth win of the year and his first in over a month.  Lohse went six innings giving up one run on four hits while walking four and striking out five.

The Brewers (73-58) maintained their 1 1/2 game lead over the Cardinals in the NL Central with the win.  Milwaukee will send Jimmy Nelson (2-4, 4.15 ERA) to the hill in game two on Tuesday, San Diego will counter with Tyson Ross (11-12, 2.68 ERA).  First pitch is scheduled for 9:10 p.m. with the pre-game show getting under way at 8:35 p.m. on 1150-WHBY.
