Menasha holding FirstEve for 20th year

New Year's Eve revelers will brave the cold in Menasha.

The community's annual FirstEve celebration runs from 10 p.m. until 12:30 a.m.

Kathy Blumreich is the senior vice president of FNB Fox Valley, one of the sponsors. She says they'll have live music, and fireworks that start at 12:05 a.m. There will also be a New York-style ball drop at midnight.

Blumreich says while it will be chilly, she's sure that plenty of brave souls will come to celebrate.

It's the 20th anniversary of the event. Organizers say it's a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration.
