December ranks in top 10 for cold, snow

This December is going into the record books for being among the top-10 coldest and snowiest of all time, in Appleton.

Meteorologist Scott Cultice of the National Weather Service says the city received nearly two-feet of snow this month. The average temperature was a little over 15 degrees. That ranks sixth, in both categories. He says people are probably getting sick of the cold.

Cultice says it could be a while before we see temperatures near the freezing mark again.
