Badgers Beat in New Year's Day Bowl Once Again
The Wisconsin Badgers football team took the field for the Capital One Bowl in Orlando on Wednesday afternoon with almost an entirely different coaching staff from the past three years. Unfortunately, the team still couldn't get over the hump as they lost their fourth consecutive New Year's Day Bowl game, this time to South Carolina by a 34-24 score. Both James White and Melvin Gordon surpassed the 100 yard rushing mark, gaining 107 and 143 yards respectively. Jared Abbrederis broke the UW record for receptions in a season with his five catches. Chris Borland forced the 15th fumble of his career to set a new Big Ten record. The Badgers finish the season with a 9-4 record.
