St. Elizabeth fundraiser meets $6 mil goal

A fundraising drive for St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton is over.

The hospital's foundation launched the $6 million campaign about three years ago to help cover the costs of the renovation and expansion project.

Tonya Dedering of Affinity Health's foundations says they had a wide range of support. She says more than 1,450 donors contributed. Over 100 staff members pitched in about $1.1 million.

The project at the hospital continues, including work on a new bed tower. Construction should be done late next year.
