FVHA picked for national contest

The Fox Valley Humane Association will be doing its best to find homes for more animals this summer, as part of a national contest.

Executive director Liz Dietz says the facility is one of 50 in the country that were picked to take part in a contest sponsored by Rachel Ray. The top prize is $100,000.

Dietz says to win, they need to a very large increase in adoptions, between June and the end of August. She says their efforts could have lasting benefits, beyond the competition.

She says the prize money would also be a huge benefit for the organization.
