BBB warns of one-ring cell phone scam

Scammers are targeting curious cell phone users.

The Better Business Bureau is warning people about one-ring calls from strange numbers.

Susan Bach runs the group's Appleton office. She says if they call back, after the hang-up, they could have large international charges on their next phone bill.

People have been charged $20 for a connection fee, and then $9 a minute.

Bach says people can use Google to investigate a number. She says the calls are originating from islands in the Caribbean.
