Appleton looks for hit & run SUV thief

Appleton police are looking for the person who drove a stolen SUV into a house, early Sunday morning.

Authorities say a 2010 Nissan Murano hit the home in the 2500 block of n. Elinor Street around 1 a.m. The driver ran off.

Investigators say the SUV owner didn't know it was missing, and last saw it the prior evening. They say the owner left the doors unlocked, and the keys inside.

The vehicle theft, and hit-and-run, both happened on the city's northwest side.
