Neenah addressing road project problems

Neenah officials are getting complaints about the condition of a portion of South Commercial Street and the public works director says they're working to fix it.

Construction crews rebuilt the section of the road between Winneconne Avenue and Wright Avenue last year.

Public works director Gerry Kaiser says the street is settling, significantly, in areas where underground utilities were replaced.

Kaiser says contractors will start work on some temporary repairs, next week, but he says the permanent repairs won't likely be made until next year.

The city is considering legal action, to make sure taxpayers don't have to pay, to fix the road.
