Flores watching same-sex marriage case closely

Kathy Flores of Appleton says she's excited to see same-sex couples applying for marriage licenses today, but she's also a bit cautious.

Flores and her partner are among the eight couples who sued the state, over the gay marriage ban. She says they want as many people as possible to apply, because attorney general J.B. Van Hollen is asking a judge this afternoon, to put her ruling on hold, while the state appeals.

Flores says she hopes several couples can get an exemption to the five-day waiting period, so the marriages are official, before the judge could possibly halt the process.
