Wisconsin ranked 37th for job growth

The state ranked 37th in the country last year for private sector job growth.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the detailed figures today.

Wisconsin's job growth rate was 1.2 percent, and that's lower than the national average of 2.1 percent. Companies created over 28,000 jobs in 2013. That's the lowest annual number, in Governor Walker's first three years in office.

During those three years, the private sector added about 101,000 private jobs. That's less than half of the 250,000 he pledged to add by the end of this year.
