Judge: Phone app suspect 'trolling for teens'

Outagamie County prosecutors say a 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted, and punched by a 21-year-old De Pere man, after they met through a phone app.

Court records say Anthony Miller used the app Whisper to contact the girl. They say she agreed to hang out with him, on Saturday afternoon, at Memorial Park in Appleton.

He's accused of touching her inappropriately, and hitting her in the face, when she wouldn't answer a question.

Miller made his first court appearance yesterday, and court commissioner Brian Figy said Miller was essentially in the area, "trolling for teenagers." He set Miller's bond at $30,000.

Prosecutors charged Miller with sexual assault, child enticement, and child abuse. He's a veteran of the Army Reserves.
