Three communities considering shared court

Village leaders in Kimberly, Combined Locks, and Little Chute are talking about consolidating their municipal courts.

Kimberly administrator Adam Hammatt says they're looking at ways to save money, with tightening revenue limits from the state. He says the proposal is still in the very early stages.

Kimberly's village board talked about the idea last night. Village president Chuck Kuen says it's worth exploring, because the three communities already share the same police department, Fox Valley Metro. But he says there are some concerns about losing community identity.

The villages expect to make a decision by the end of November.
