Tax credit change could impact Kaukauna project

The decision to put an expanded state tax credit program on hold could impact a redevelopment project in Kaukauna.

Randy Stadtmueller plans to renovate the former Eagle Mill, and the Kaukauna library would move into the building. He says he hasn't heard whether his application for the historic preservation credits was approved, and right now, he's in limbo.

The state halted the program earlier this week, after developers requested $35 million in credits. The state only had $4 million in the budget, for the credits.
