Recent grads still rely on parents for help

A study by a UW-Madison dean found that half of all recent college grads still need some financial help from their parents.

The report shows many of them have a full-time job, and a local financial counselor says those results really aren't surprising.

Alan Prahl of FISC says first jobs often can't cover a grad's living expenses and debt. He says he encourages many recent grads to live at home for a little while, if they can, to get on better financial footing.
