Dudas sentenced to 30 years in prison

A local attorney will spend 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting and beating his wife.

A judge handed down that sentence today to 49-year-old David Dudas. A jury convicted him of 30 charges, ranging from sexual assault, to battery and strangulation. Judge Tammy Jo Hock says Dudas seemed smug and arrogant during the trial...and his attitude played a role in her decision.

Outagamie County district attorney Carrie Schneider asked for a 35-year prison term, but she's pleased with Judge Hock's decision.

Dudas's attorney asked for a six-and-a-half year sentence, and he did not want to comment.
