Packers celebrate 'McCarthy Way'

The Green Bay Packers celebrated the naming of a street in Ashwaubenon, after Coach Mike McCarthy.

McCarthy and team president Mark Murphy were at Green Bay Distillery over the noon hour, along with Ashwaubenon village president Mike Aubinger and Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt.

Aubinger says a stretch of Potts Avenue will be renamed McCarthy Way. He says that should help with economic development in the village's stadium and entertainment district.

Aubinger says they won't actually change the street signs for about eight months, so businesses along the street can use their existing letterhead and supplies.

The Packers will cover the costs to businesses for changing signs and other supplies.
