Marquette poll shows tight race for governor

The latest poll from the Marquette University law school shows a very close race for governor.

46 percent of registered voters said they support Governor Walker, compared to 45 percent, for Democratic challenger Mary Burke. But among likely voters, Burke led 47-to-46 percent.

Poll director Charles Franklin says those results are very similar to the school's last poll, in May, that showed a tied race with both candidates recieving 46 percent.

Franklin says the campaigns started airing a lot of ads within the past week and he expects that to continue through the election. He says they could change some voters' feelings.
