Rohrkaste seeks 55th Assembly seat

Five Republicans will be on the ballot for the 55th Assembly district seat next week.

Mike Rohrkaste of Neenah is one of them. He worked in human relations, before retiring as the director at the Oshkosh Corporation.

He says education would be one of his top priorities. He says they need to continue the school choice program. He says technical colleges and four-year universities have to partner with businesses, to make sure workers have the skills they need in the Fox Valley.

Rohrkaste will face Steven Gillespie, John Lehman, Ryan Pheifer and Jay Schroeder in the August 12 primary. We'll hear from all of the candidates, throughout the week.

Rep. Dean Kaufert isn't running for re-election, after he became Neenah's mayor.
