High School Football begins this week (Sports)

The 2014 High School Football Season begins this week.  Teams will be issuing equipment Monday before hoping on the practice field Tuesday.

Things start light as Tuesday and Wednesday, practices will be limited to helmets only.  Later in the week teams can put on the shoulder pads for the first time before full contact starts next week.

WHBY/WSCO’s Justin Hull had a chance to sit down with Kimberly Head Coach Steve Jones and talk about the upcoming season:

Woodward’s coverage of High School Football begins August 22nd.  Here is the schedule for the first few weeks:

• Week 1 - August, 22nd: Kaukauna @ Neenah on WSCO
• Week 2  - August 29th:  Hortonville @ Kimberly on WSCO
• Week 3 – September 5th: Appleton East @ Kaukauna on WSCO
• Week 4 – September 12th: Little Cute @ FVL on WSCO
