Pulaski schools addressing bus crash

Counselors were available at Pulaski high school today, after members of the volleyball team were involved in deadly accident.

A 27-year-old Marathon man drove his car into the back of their bus, while they were heading home from a match in Seymour. He was seriously hurt, and his passenger, a 24-year-old Athens woman, was killed. About a dozen students on the bus went to local hospitals, but they have all been released.

Pulaski school district spokeswoman Kimberly Uelmen says school officials addressed the incident at the start of the school day today, and counselors were available to help students deal with the situation.

She says a number of students were shaken up by the crash.

The accident was on Highway 29, around 9 p.m. yesterday.
