Little Chute preparing for final Kermis

A 33-year Little Chute tradition is coming to an end, later this month.

Tammy Frassetto is an organizer for the Kermis festival. She says the event was created to celebrate the village's Dutch heritage. But she says it's no longer needed, with the authentic Dutch windmill, set to open this fall, in the downtown.

She says this year's Kermis festival will be on September 20, and it will include children performing authentic Dutch dances, in wooden shoes.

Frassetto says the windmill will officially open during Kermis.
