Snow snaps streaks in Appleton, G.B.

Appleton and Green Bay lost their long snowless streaks over the weekend.

Meteorologist Scott Cultice of the National Weather Service in Green Bay says it actually didn't start snowing in Appleton until after midnight on Sunday. He says that put the city's second-longest stretch at 261 days, 17 short of the record.

He says the snow started before midnight in Green Bay, so its streak ended at 260. He says it ranked fourth all-time, and it was 19 days short of the city's record.

Both all-time marks were set in 1999.

Cultice says for the rest of the week, it looks like the weather will be dry.
