Petri believes in solution to 'fiscal cliff'
The negotiations over the "fiscal cliff" continue, and a lawmaker from
Fond du Lac says if lawmakers address the issue properly, it will help the country.
Republican Congressman Tom Petri says they've kicked too many decisions down the road over the years, and now they have to sit down and work things out.
Petri says the longer the discussions go on, the more that could hurt the economy. He says businesses are reluctant to make major decisions right now, because they don't know what their tax rates are going to be yet.
Petri believes lawmakers will reach a compromise, but he says it's probably not going to be popular.
