WPS natural gas crews helping in Sandy effort

Wisconsin Public Service crews that were working on restoring power to the East Coast, in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, came home a couple of weeks ago, but now some more crews are going to New Jersey.

WPS spokesman Kerry Spees says up to 10,000 people are still without natural gas, and eight employees are leaving Saturday to help with that effort.

Spees says a storm as powerful as Sandy sends a lot of water into a lot of homes, and it takes a while to get all of the utilities back on.
