ACES holding meeting on big changes

Major changes are on the way for the Appleton Catholic Education System, and officials are talking about them tonight.

ACES Xavier president Ray DuBois says one of the most notable changes will take effect next year, when all of the schools in the system take the Saint Francis Xavier name.

He says they're also expanding the middle school, to grades 5 through 8.  Right now the middle school starts at 6th grade.  DuBois says a committee is working on a space needs study, which could recommend closing schools, or expanding them.

That committee's recommendations should be ready by the beginning of February.

DuBois says people with questions about the changes can get them answered tonight, at the Grand Meridian on N. Oneida Street in Appleton, between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
