Wis. Health secretary questions Medicaid funding
Wisconsin's health secretary is expected to testify in front of a House subcommittee in Washington D.C. today, to talk about the uncertainty surrounding the expansion of Medicaid.
During a conference call yesterday, Secretary Dennis Smith says he has some serious concerns about how the program will be funded.
Smith says Governor Walker hasn't decided whether he'll expand Medicaid services in his next budget.
Walker has been critical of how much expanding Medicaid would cost the state. Smith says the state will pay more under the federal law heatlh care reform law, but he did not have final estimates.
