Appleton woman named 'Woman of the Year'
An Appleton business owner is among a handful of women recognized by the National Association of Professional Women.
Cherie Lindberg owns Get Connected Counseling, and she was named a "Woman of the Year" by the national group.
Lindberg says the award is a complete shock. She says she didn't apply for it, and the organization based their selection on her membership application. Lindberg says her counseling center is different from most. She says they teach people how to regulate their emotions.
Lindberg says she hopes the award will draw attention to her year old business.
