Incoming LU leader greets campus
The next president of Lawrence University was back on campus yesterday.
Mark Burstein spoke at the Memorial Chapel, and he held a meet-and-greet last night, at the Warch Campus Center. He says it's important to listen, because he believes there are great ideas for the vision of the university, already on campus.
Burstein is the executive vice president at Princeton University, and he'll succeed retiring president Jill Beck in July. He says he's looking forward to moving to Wisconsin.
Burstein says people at Princeton have made some light-hearted jokes about his upcoming move. He says Wisconsin has something in common with New Jersey -- the outside perception doesn't match the reality.
