Lamers Bus founder remembered
The founder of Lamers Bus Lines is being remembered today.
97-year-old Lyle Lamers died earlier this week, and his funeral services were this morning in De Pere.
He started the bus company with his wife, Ellen, in 1944, and his sons, Allen and Kevin, later took over. The Green Bay-based Lamers is the largest locally owned transportation company in the state.
