Appleton pay scale on hold
Appleton leaders continue to go over a proposed pay
scale for city employees.
The number of non-union workers doubled in the wake of the collective bargaining law, and the city hired a consultant to compare wages in the public and private sectors.
The human resources committee spent nearly two hours talking about the proposal last night.
Ald. Curt Konetzke is the chair of the panel, and he says they're going to take another two weeks to get answers to some questions.
The plan also creates a system for performance bonuses.
