Menasha schools to spread word about vote
Menasha school officials are planning to spread the word in the coming
weeks, about the district's referendum.
The school board unanimously agreed to ask voters on April 2 to approve a nearly $30 million renovation and expansion project at the high school.
Superintendent Bob Kobylski says they want to make sure people understand what they're voting on. He says it's going to be a busy next 11 weeks. He says they want to meet with community groups, hold public forums, and organize tours of the high school.
If voters say "yes" to the referendum, the property tax levy would climb by 78 cents per $1,000 of value. The owner of a $100,000 home would pay an extra $78 in taxes.
