Gas leak forces evacuation of homes in C.L.
A gas leak at a nearby business forced Combined Locks authorities to evacuate about 10 homes this morning.
Fox Valley Metro officer Scott Van Schyndel says they were called to a business at the corner of Prospect Street and Kimberly Avenue, around 9:15 a.m. He says utility crews got the leak under control within 45 minutes, and people were able to return to their homes.
The Combined Locks Civic Center was open, in case people needed somewhere to go.
