Appleton council to consider pay scale
Appleton's city council will get a crack at a
proposed pay scale for city employees early next month.
Some members of the human resources committee still have questions about a consultant's four different options, and the panel shot down the package, on a 3-to-1 vote, earlier this week.
Human resources director Sandy Behnke says she's working with the consultant to meet with the council. She says some members have questions about the math that was used, and the formula.
The city is developing a pay scale that would apply to workers who lost their collective bargaining rights a couple of years ago. The council could send the proposal back to the human resources committee next month for more discussion.
