Appleton police enforce snow emergency rules
The snowstorm is leaving some drivers with lighter wallets.
Appleton police ticketed 59 vehicles and towed 42, after drivers failed to follow the rules of a Class III snow emergency, and parked on city streets.
Sgt. Dave Lund says that's about what he would expect during a big storm.
Lund says they downgraded the snow emergency to a Class I, and that means parking on city streets is banned between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.
Lund says the Class I snow emergency will likely be in place for at least a couple more days.
