Menasha to hold forums on school vote

Menasha school district officials will host two meetings, to answer questions about a nearly $30 million referendum for upgrades at the high school.

Sup. Bob Kobylski says the building is nearly 80 years old, and it needs a number of structural and technological upgrades to meet the standards of a 21st Century education.

He says he'll be at the high school on the evenings of March 5 and 14, for public forums. Kobylski says so far, he's heard a lot of positive feedback.

The referendum will be on April 2. If voters say approve it, the property tax rate would climb by 78 cents per $1,000 of value. That's an extra $78 for the owner of a $100,000 home.
