Governor to boost mental health funding
Mental health programs in the state could receive a
boost in funding, in the next state budget.
Governor Walker announced this morning that he'll put an additional $30 million in his proposed spending plan.
Walker says he wants to build on programs that are already in place in many counties. He says that would improve public safety.
He says he also wants to provide more funding for psychiatric evaluations.
His proposal also calls for creating an Office of Children's Mental Health, to reach out to agencies, and develop services for children.
