Bishop looking forward to new Pope
The surprise is wearing off from Pope Benedict's
announcement that he's resigning, and the head of the Green Bay Catholic Diocese is thinking about possible successors.
Bishop David Ricken says potential candidates could come from around the world.
Pope Benedict decided to resign, because of his declining health. Ricken says the College of Cardinals might also consider the rigorous schedule of the job.
He says he was able to see the Pope last October, during a pilgrimage to Rome, with people from northeast Wisconsin. He says he could tell the Pope's health was deteriorating.
Ricken says over the years, he was able to meet Pope Benedict five or six times.
