FVTC, Notre Dame enter intern partnership
The culinary staffs at Fox Valley Technical College and Notre Dame University are forming a new internship program.
Fox Valley Tech chef Jen Malvitz says the talks started after one of her students had an internship at Notre Dame and it went very well.
The university has 22 food venues including residential dining, catering operations, and franchise restaurants. Malvitz says the varied options fits their program requirements perfectly.
Notre Dame executive chef Donald Miller says he was very happy with the Fox Valley Tech intern, and he's looking forward to seeing more of them. Miller says this was his first visit to Fox Valley Tech and he's impressed by the quality of the culinary facility.
