Rep. Hintz critical of governor's plan
A lawmaker from Oshkosh says Governor Walker's decision against expanding BadgerCare is little more than a political statement.
Democratic Rep. Gordon Hintz says turning down billions of dollars from the federal government is not in the state's best interest.
He says providing insurance to thousands of people, with a funding source in place should be an easy decision.
Hintz says the state would save $65 million between 2014 and 2016 under the BadgerCare expansion, and now that money will be missing from the state budget.
