Gas prices jump again
Gas prices are up by more that 55 cents from last month, and they won't likely go down, anytime soon. That's the feeling of AAA Wisconsin spokeswoman Pam Moen.
Right now, gas is selling for around $3.75 a gallon in the Appleton area.
Moen says refinery problems and high crude oil prices are behind the spike. She says it could get worse in the coming weeks, when more refineries shut down to convert from winter to summer gas blends.
She says hopefully the current spike is only a temporary situation. Moen says in the last two years, gas prices reached their peak in April and May, and she's hoping it hit early this year.
